National Poetry Day 2020 – Vision #ShareAPoem

The 1st October is National Poetry Day where people are encouraged to discover and share poetry in all its fabulous forms.

The theme for 2020 is quite appropriately – Vision.

Each year, National Poetry Day sees thousands of wonderful events being held across the UK where poetry is used to bring people together. In these strange times, things might look a little different and people are unable to be together physically. However, there are many online events that you can get involved with and celebrate poetry’s power to enrich society.

The day encourages love of language – Anyone can get involved, young or old. Whether you’re a lover of the classics, a fan of contemporary performance poetry or a complete novice when it comes to the art of spoken word, there’s sure to be a form of poetry that will provoke a reaction in you.
