Happy New Year to you all! What will 2019 bring?

Well, four of our favourite performers to Yorkshire, that’s what!

Now the self proclaimed ‘King of Modern Poetry’ Dr John Cooper Clarke, is bringing ‘The Luckiest Guy Alive’ tour to York Grand Opera House on 23rd February. This is certainly not one to be missed! How about ‘The Talk Show’ by award-winning writer and performer Rob Auton? Catch him ‘talking about talking’ on 19th March at The Basement, City Screen Picturehouse, York. Get tickets here!

Dazzling performance poet Luke Wright, one of the best beat poets in the UK, will be touring in 2019 with a brand new show of poems – Luke Wright, Poet Laureate.
Following his sell-out run in Edinburgh, he is taking the show on the road and critics are calling it his best work yet. See Luke at Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough on 4th May. See all tour dates here!

Just incase you’ve never heard of the amazingly talented Hollie McNish (which we doubt!), she is a UK poet who straddles the boundaries between the literary, poetic and pop scenes. UK slam poetry champion in 2009, the first poet ever to record and perform at Abbey Road Studios, she has garnered titles like “chick of the week” (MTV) “internet sensation” (Best Daily) and “really really amazing” (Davina McCall). Hosted by York Poetry Peeps ‘Say Owt’, Hollie will be performing at The Crescent, York on 20th June. Get Tickets here!

All four of these fabulously talented performers have performed for Release The Hounds Festival so we can personally recommend them all!

What a year 2019 is shaping up to be!
